Italian Champions at the MSTINA factory
Newly crowned 2010 Italian RR Champions Stefano Agostini (Under 23) and Paolo Simion (Junior) have recently visited the MSTINA factory near Treviso in Italy.
During their visit they had the opportunity to meet the staff who designed, manufactured and delivered their new fully personalised "Tricolore" kits in less than 24 hours after their wins at the National Championships.

Stefano Agostini and Paolo Simion are part of Zalf Desiree Fior and UC Giorgione teams supplied by MSTINA.

...and another National Championship Title
Following the Italian National RR Championship won by Stefano Agostini and Paolo Simion earlier this month another rider wearing MSTINA Cyclewear has won the National Championship Title. And this time it´s a British one.

Well done to Fiona Duncan who has returned from a successful trip representing Police Sport UK at the recent British Track Cycling Masters Championships held at Newport, Wales.

The 2km Pursuit provided Fiona with some stiff competition but she put in a storming ride to record a new personal best time by a significant margin and took the British title for women aged 30 to 39 years. Fiona was awarded her gold medal but perhaps more importantly the Champion´s Jersey which bears the red, white and blue bands of British Champion.
Fiona also won silver medals in the 10km Scratch Race and in the 10 km Points Race Championship events.

In the Men´s event former Commonwealth Games rider David Baker proved he is still a classy bike rider finishing third and taking the bronze medal in the Sprint. Baker also came close in the Points and Scratch race but unfortunately just missing out on the medals.

MSTina celebrates with two new Italian Road Race Champions
Last week in Italy was "Tricolore Week" which sees the crowning of the Italian Road Race Champions across different categories. The week saw a double celebration at the MSTina headquarters in Treviso when two titles were claimed by two teams supplied by MSTina.

Paolo Simion, who rides for Uc Giorgione, won the junior title in a bunch sprint and Stefano Agostini, who rides for Zalf Desiree Fior, won the Under 23 category in a lone break. These two latest successes come after Federico Zurlo won the Italian Cyclocross Championship last winter. He rides for UC Postumia, also supplied by MSTina.

Minutes after last weekend´s wins, designers at MSTina began work on two custom made Tricolore kits for Paolo and Stefano. The brief for the design was to make it young and stylish, use the red, white and green of the Italian flag, include the team sponsor logos and the names of the champions. To celebrate their wins, MSTina manufactured and delivered the items in less than 24 hours with the two new champions wearing their kit on the Sunday!

Daniele Santoni notches up another win in the 4th Rapha Condor Circuit Series
Congratulations to MSTINA RT Elite rider Daniele Santoni who won at Hog Hill (Redbridge Cycle Centre) on June 27th. It was a tough race partly due to it taking place on one of the hottest days of the year. Daniele´s race report is below:

"The race started with an early attack which saw me and six other riders taking a small lead. We worked well together but after a few laps the chasing group closed the gap.

Then a duo from London Dynamo made the move and quickly a few riders including Lewis Atkins from Orbea bridged the gap. I thought that it would be a good small group which could work together and stay away, so I made a big effort on the hill to make contact with them.

This five man group became three as the pace increased, leaving me, Lewis Atkins (Orbea ForGoodNessShakes) and Cam Austin (London Dynamo). This worked well for me as I thought I would have a good chance in the sprint. On the final lap I led the sprint and claimed victory from Atkins as Cam Austin was disqualified for misconduct towards the commissaries."

Another win for MSTINA RT rider Daniele Santoni
On June 12 MSTINA RT Elite rider Daniele won the E/1/2 3rd round of the Rapha Condor Circuit Series. The race was held at Hog Hill on a shortened course which made a fast and furious race with riders climbing the Hoggenberg every 1minute 40 seconds.
After a few laps Daniele Santoni, Darren Barclay (Arctic RT) and Lewis Atkins (Orbea Forgoodness Shakes) rode clear from the bunch keeping their lead safe.

During the last few laps Atkins couldn´t keep up with the break and it became a 2 men sprint won by the Italian rider.

TONY GIBB WINS THE CANARY WHARF TOUR SERIES EVENT
CyclePremier.com - Metaltek´s rider Tony Gibb claimed victory in the exciting opening round of the 2010 Halfords Tour Series at Canary Wharf in London on Tuesday night. MSTINA and ProSport Distribution are partners and official suppliers to CyclePremier.com - Metaltek RT and we would like to congratulate the whole team on the fantastic performance.

At Canary Wharf the action was exciting from the start, with the peloton immediately stretched out into a long line as the pace immediately hotted up. Riders from various teams took the initiative to attack off the front of the bunch, with Tony Gibb never dropping the first 15 positions.

A typically nervous opening round peloton though didn´t want to let anyone out of their sights for long, so each attack was short-lived and the finish was a bunch sprint won by Tony Gibb.

Cyclosport review on MSTINA Bodyfit baselayer
Adam Tranter from Cyclosport has just reviewed MSTINA Bodyfit baselayer and has given it an impressive 9 out of 10, saying it really stands out from the crowd and is perfect from late Winter/early Spring temperatures.

Made from Polypropylene Softprim fabric with seamless technology (no stitching), it is designed to provide a warm and snug fit, keeping the arms warm whilst wicking away the sweat.

Several teams are already using the baselayers, including Cycle Premier Metaltek RT.

For more information on the baselayers and other MSTINA accessories, please contact us.
